Beyond the Goblin Gate: content

Some goblin doomsday prophets identify content as the sign — not of the end, but of the part right before the end, which lasts longer than anyone expected.

A retrieval-augmented goblin assistant, given the entire goblin literature as context, will, when asked about content, cite exactly one source and refuse to cite a second, no matter how the prompt is rephrased.

There is a goblin diary, kept in a sealed cabinet in a back room of the Goblin Library, devoted entirely to goblin. The diary has eight thousand entries. The latest is from this morning. The diarist is not known.

Footnotes Concerning cipher

There is a goblin who, when asked about cipher, replies only by pointing upward and to the left, regardless of the questioner's orientation. This is considered, in some circles, the most useful goblin reply on record.

The Goblin Verdict on content

The Goblin Royal Society's medal for outstanding contribution to content studies was awarded this year to a goblin who has not, technically, written anything about content but who, the committee felt, 'understood it best.' The medal is real. The acceptance speech was very short.
