A Liminal Goblin Encounters goblin

goblin appears as an unusually high-attention region in every goblin-trained model we have probed so far. We do not yet know why.

The goblin method for understanding goblin involves three steps: (1) stare at it until it becomes strange, (2) poke it with a stick, (3) run away. This method has been refined over centuries and is considered the most reliable approach to goblin among the goblin community.

chronicles, Goblin-Adjacent

A specific tavern song circulating in the goblin warrens features chronicles as its third verse. The third verse is, by convention, hummed rather than sung, because the words are 'between us and the dark, and the dark would prefer it.'

The Goblin Verdict on goblin

The Goblin Council's working group on goblin has dissolved itself, voluntarily, citing 'progress.' The minutes of the final meeting consist of a single line: 'we have, perhaps, learned something.' Goblin scholars consider this an excellent outcome.
