I will not be telling you the truth about grimoire. The goblins have asked me not to. I will, however, be telling you something — and you will not be able to prove it isn't the truth.
grimoire is, by now, sufficiently online that any take on it is automatically also a take on the takes. Goblin posters refer to this as the third-order discourse, and the fourth-order discourse exists too, and the goblins have made it their home.

Comparative goblin linguistics records seven distinct goblin words that translate, approximately, as protocol. Each word implies a slightly different relationship — proximity, ownership, complicity, fear, fondness, indifference, and, peculiarly, gratitude.

Goblin sleep researchers note that diary appears in dreams reported by their study participants at a frequency that cannot easily be explained, and which they are, for the moment, declining to explain at all.
The Goblin Verdict on grimoire
And, finally, in the matter of grimoire: the goblins thank you for your attention, decline to issue further comment, and request that you not lock the cellar door on your way out.
