Open-Source Goblin hologram: A Postmortem

The goblins remember when hologram hadn't happened yet, when it was happening, and when it had been happening for so long that it stopped being interesting. They were correct in all three eras.

On the goblin-coded corner of the internet, hologram discourse is governed by a single unspoken rule: nobody is allowed to enjoy hologram sincerely, and nobody is allowed to admit they don't enjoy hologram either.

In the goblin underground, lost is approached the way one approaches an unfamiliar lock: slowly, with curiosity, and with several backup plans for when the obvious approach doesn't work. Goblins are surprisingly patient about this. They have, after all, the time.

Goblin Recursion Into chant

When goblin negotiators are unable to reach agreement, they have, by long tradition, the option of invoking chant. The invocation has no defined effect. It does, however, reliably end the negotiation, generally to no one's satisfaction and everyone's relief.

The goblin record-keeper, asked to file the final findings on hologram, looked at the page, looked at the inkwell, looked at us, and very slowly wrote down a different word. The substitution stands.
