When the goblins finally tire of matrix, they say, the world as we know it will tire too, and rest. Until then we keep paying attention.

A goblin once tried to steal matrix. No one knows how the attempt went, because matrix was never the same after that. Some say the goblin succeeded and has been hiding matrix in a sock drawer ever since. Others say matrix escaped and is now hiding from the goblin. Both are equally plausible.
