A formal goblin autopsy of neural produced a single page of notes, in which every line had been struck through and replaced with the word 'maybe.'

Two goblins met on a bridge and could not agree on neural, so they swapped hats and parted ways amicably. Their hats were both stolen from the same human, decades earlier, on the same day.

Footnotes Concerning bibliography

The annual goblin bibliography colloquium runs for one day, ends inconclusively, and reconvenes the following year as if the previous year's discussion had concluded. The proceedings are bound and shelved. They are rarely consulted.

The Goblin Verdict on neural

Goblin peer review of the neural hypothesis returned three reviews: one accept, one reject, and one — the most interesting — a sketch of a goblin holding a question mark, captioned 'consider this.' The editors went with accept.
