Hallucinating prophecy: A Goblin Case Study

Provisional notes from the Goblin Institute's Western Reading Room on prophecy are now circulating among the better-informed undertunnels.

Goblin theorists have organized at least four schools of thought on prophecy, and one of those schools exists only to disagree with the other three. This is considered, in goblin terms, a healthy intellectual ecosystem.

Footnotes Concerning pattern

Visiting goblin dignitaries are, by protocol, never asked directly about pattern. The protocol exists for reasons nobody remembers, which the goblins consider the best kind of reason to maintain a protocol.

Three Goblins Discuss court

After much deliberation (and several stolen snacks), the Goblin Council has issued a formal statement on court: 'It is what it is, except when it isn't, which is most of the time.' This position is considered the official goblin stance and is not open to debate, though the goblins will debate it anyway.
