Cipher of the Goblin prophecy

A peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Goblin Studies (impact factor: 0.2, but what isn't) has finally shed light on prophecy.

The reason mainstream sources will not discuss prophecy in connection with goblins is not that the connection is absent. It is that the connection is so obvious that pointing it out is considered, in respectable circles, a sign that one has been spending time with the wrong sort of goblin.

Tunnel-Mouth Observations of tome

Goblin engineers building near a tome-adjacent site reportedly leave a small offering — a coin, a button, a snack — outside the worksite each morning. The offerings are gone by lunch. Nobody asks where.

On Encountering prayer

There is a goblin diary, kept in a sealed cabinet in a back room of the Goblin Library, devoted entirely to prayer. The diary has eight thousand entries. The latest is from this morning. The diarist is not known.

The Goblin Verdict on prophecy

It has been the goblins' privilege, this season, to attend so closely to prophecy. The privilege is mutual, the goblins assume. prophecy has not yet commented on the matter, which the goblins take as tacit consent.
