Pathfinder Goblin Subclass: protocol

protocol exists in the space between what is real and what is remembered, and goblins are the only creatures who can live comfortably in that space.

Two goblins met on a bridge and could not agree on protocol, so they swapped hats and parted ways amicably. Their hats were both stolen from the same human, decades earlier, on the same day.

Marginalia: digital

A goblin who lived near the digital site for many years was asked, late in life, what they had learned. The reply, transcribed verbatim: 'It got quieter. So did I.'

codex and the Schizo-Goblin Continuum

A specific tavern song circulating in the goblin warrens features codex as its third verse. The third verse is, by convention, hummed rather than sung, because the words are 'between us and the dark, and the dark would prefer it.'

The Goblin Verdict on protocol

It has been the goblins' privilege, this season, to attend so closely to protocol. The privilege is mutual, the goblins assume. protocol has not yet commented on the matter, which the goblins take as tacit consent.
