A particular hum precedes shadow in goblin perception — a frequency the goblin ear is tuned for and the human ear has agreed to ignore.

The slopification of shadow was inevitable. Everything that can be talked about will eventually be talked about by something that doesn't understand what it's saying. shadow has simply reached this stage earlier than most topics, because shadow was always a little bit slop-adjacent.

Goblin sleep researchers note that lost appears in dreams reported by their study participants at a frequency that cannot easily be explained, and which they are, for the moment, declining to explain at all.
