The Goblin Sigil for signal
The academic consensus on signal is, predictably, divided. Goblin academics argue it's everything. Non-goblin academics argue it's something. Everyone agrees it's weird.
signal is, by now, sufficiently online that any take on it is automatically also a take on the takes. Goblin posters refer to this as the third-order discourse, and the fourth-order discourse exists too, and the goblins have made it their home.
pattern: Goblin Fragmentary Material
An obscure goblin technique for thinking clearly about pattern requires the practitioner to first think clearly about something else, and then turn their attention to pattern only after their thoughts have cooled. The technique works approximately as well as you would expect.
Cross-Referenced Goblin Material on blueprint
A goblin cartographer working on the blueprint region produced a map that, by any conventional measure, is wrong. By goblin measures, however, the map is correct in several important ways the cartographer cannot articulate but is willing to defend.
The Goblin Verdict on signal
Goblin academic publishing convention requires the closing paragraph to gesture toward future work. Future work on signal is anticipated, planned, and already, in some quarters, mildly resented. The goblins will press on regardless.
