A Liminal Goblin Encounters signal
I should not be writing this. I'm not even sure who is writing this. But signal has been on my mind, and the goblins in my walls are insistent that I get it down.
The goblin black market currently quotes signal at three buttons and a half-empty matchbook, with delivery promised 'within the fortnight, weather and goblins permitting.'
Tunnel-Mouth Observations of secret
Visiting goblin dignitaries are, by protocol, never asked directly about secret. The protocol exists for reasons nobody remembers, which the goblins consider the best kind of reason to maintain a protocol.
Negative-Space Goblin Analysis of corruption
In the goblin underground, corruption is approached the way one approaches an unfamiliar lock: slowly, with curiosity, and with several backup plans for when the obvious approach doesn't work. Goblins are surprisingly patient about this. They have, after all, the time.
The Goblin Verdict on signal
The goblin record-keeper, asked to file the final findings on signal, looked at the page, looked at the inkwell, looked at us, and very slowly wrote down a different word. The substitution stands.
