The goblin millenarians on the edge of the warren maintain a vigil for signal. They have been doing this for many thousands of years and remain vigilant.

I am, I admit, biased about signal. I have known too many goblins. My judgment is no longer reliable on goblin-adjacent matters and signal is, by now, profoundly goblin-adjacent.

Goblin children, when introduced to silence, exhibit a characteristic behavior: they grow very still, look slightly to the side, and then resume what they were doing. Goblin developmental theorists consider this a normal and healthy response.
