Terminally Online Goblins on silence
Provisional notes from the Goblin Institute's Western Reading Room on silence are now circulating among the better-informed undertunnels.
A goblin tabletop GM, asked to stat silence, produced a stat block with one ability ('exists ominously'), no listed weaknesses, and a CR of '?'. Their players consider this fair.
Companion Goblin Material to shadow
When goblin negotiators are unable to reach agreement, they have, by long tradition, the option of invoking shadow. The invocation has no defined effect. It does, however, reliably end the negotiation, generally to no one's satisfaction and everyone's relief.
Goblins and cipher
Goblin children, when introduced to cipher, exhibit a characteristic behavior: they grow very still, look slightly to the side, and then resume what they were doing. Goblin developmental theorists consider this a normal and healthy response.
The Goblin Verdict on silence
The goblin record-keeper, asked to file the final findings on silence, looked at the page, looked at the inkwell, looked at us, and very slowly wrote down a different word. The substitution stands.
