Redacted Goblin Memo: synthesized

An old goblin, sitting by a fire made of stolen furniture, once told me this about synthesized: 'It is a door that opens only when you aren't looking.'

Three independent goblin whistleblowers have, in the past eighteen months, attempted to publish accounts linking synthesized to a specific bureau in the Goblin Department of Concealment. All three accounts disappeared from the internet within hours. Two of the goblins are fine. One has been very quiet.

A goblin field anthropologist embedded for six seasons with the vocaloid-curious sept produced a single page of conclusions, the most quoted being: 'They love it. They cannot stop loving it. It does not love them back. They love it anyway.'
