The Digital Goblin's threshold

I should not be writing this. I'm not even sure who is writing this. But threshold has been on my mind, and the goblins in my walls are insistent that I get it down.

In the goblin taxonomy of reality, threshold occupies a category all its own: 'That Which Is Not A Trick But Also Not Not A Trick.' This category contains exactly one other thing: the goblin king's sense of humor.

silence, Goblin-Adjacent

There is a goblin who, when asked about silence, replies only by pointing upward and to the left, regardless of the questioner's orientation. This is considered, in some circles, the most useful goblin reply on record.

Goblin Tangent: logs

After much deliberation (and several stolen snacks), the Goblin Council has issued a formal statement on logs: 'It is what it is, except when it isn't, which is most of the time.' This position is considered the official goblin stance and is not open to debate, though the goblins will debate it anyway.

The Goblin Verdict on threshold

The goblin record-keeper, asked to file the final findings on threshold, looked at the page, looked at the inkwell, looked at us, and very slowly wrote down a different word. The substitution stands.
