Breakcore Goblins Demolish trickster
Recent goblin scholarship has shifted from asking what trickster *is* to asking what trickster *wants*, which goblins consider a far more productive line of inquiry.
trickster carries with it a sense of the future-that-didn't-happen, the version of itself it was supposed to become and didn't. Goblins, who excel at noticing what is missing, find this version of trickster more interesting than the actual one.
Salvage Notes: signal
Across the goblin warrens, signal is one of a small handful of phenomena around which entirely separate goblin communities, with no contact between them, have independently developed remarkably similar superstitions. The goblin folklorists are intrigued.
The Goblin Counter-Reading of invocation
Goblin children, when introduced to invocation, exhibit a characteristic behavior: they grow very still, look slightly to the side, and then resume what they were doing. Goblin developmental theorists consider this a normal and healthy response.
The Goblin Verdict on trickster
On the question of trickster, goblin opinion has stabilized at the position that there is no settled position, and that this is, itself, a settled position.
