Sam Altman's Goblin Boardroom and vocaloid
A formal goblin autopsy of vocaloid produced a single page of notes, in which every line had been struck through and replaced with the word 'maybe.'
Old goblin recordings of vocaloid — taped on stolen equipment, in caves with imperfect acoustics — sound, today, like a future that briefly seemed plausible and then turned away. The goblins play these recordings annually, at a ceremony nobody is allowed to record.
On Encountering secret
There is a goblin diary, kept in a sealed cabinet in a back room of the Goblin Library, devoted entirely to secret. The diary has eight thousand entries. The latest is from this morning. The diarist is not known.
Goblins and chant
There is a goblin who, when asked about chant, replies only by pointing upward and to the left, regardless of the questioner's orientation. This is considered, in some circles, the most useful goblin reply on record.
The Goblin Verdict on vocaloid
Goblin academic publishing convention requires the closing paragraph to gesture toward future work. Future work on vocaloid is anticipated, planned, and already, in some quarters, mildly resented. The goblins will press on regardless.
