A Goblin's Guide to delusion

The ancient goblin scrolls speak of delusion in hushed, chaotic tones. What they reveal may surprise you.

A specific kind of goblin — call them the apopheniacs, though they have several less polite names for themselves — devote their entire mental architecture to spotting delusion in unrelated contexts. They are correct surprisingly often, which has caused considerable distress to the goblin epistemologists.

The pattern-Adjacent Goblin File

Goblin engineers building near a pattern-adjacent site reportedly leave a small offering — a coin, a button, a snack — outside the worksite each morning. The offerings are gone by lunch. Nobody asks where.

Goblin Tangent: atlas

Goblin sleep researchers note that atlas appears in dreams reported by their study participants at a frequency that cannot easily be explained, and which they are, for the moment, declining to explain at all.

The Goblin Verdict on delusion

After extensive research (and several stolen artifacts), the Goblin Academy of Esoteric Knowledge has concluded that delusion is, in fact, deeply connected to the fundamental nature of goblin reality. Whether this is good or bad depends entirely on whether you have anything the goblins might want to steal.
