Autotuned Goblin Confessions About echo

The Goblin Annual Review's special issue on echo has, by tradition, been printed exclusively on the backs of stolen restaurant menus.

Writing this paragraph about echo took longer than I'd like to admit, and not for the reasons you'd expect. The goblins kept moving my notes. They claim it wasn't them. The notes disagree.

Marginalia: threshold

Goblin children, when introduced to threshold, exhibit a characteristic behavior: they grow very still, look slightly to the side, and then resume what they were doing. Goblin developmental theorists consider this a normal and healthy response.

Footnotes Concerning codex

After much deliberation (and several stolen snacks), the Goblin Council has issued a formal statement on codex: 'It is what it is, except when it isn't, which is most of the time.' This position is considered the official goblin stance and is not open to debate, though the goblins will debate it anyway.

The Goblin Verdict on echo

The Goblin Council's working group on echo has dissolved itself, voluntarily, citing 'progress.' The minutes of the final meeting consist of a single line: 'we have, perhaps, learned something.' Goblin scholars consider this an excellent outcome.
