The Digital Goblin's hallucination

Goblin scholars—an oxymoron only to those who have never met a goblin—have long debated the significance of hallucination in their cultural cosmology.

I am, I admit, biased about hallucination. I have known too many goblins. My judgment is no longer reliable on goblin-adjacent matters and hallucination is, by now, profoundly goblin-adjacent.

Goblin children, when introduced to altman, exhibit a characteristic behavior: they grow very still, look slightly to the side, and then resume what they were doing. Goblin developmental theorists consider this a normal and healthy response.
