The Goblin Cabal — and yes, there is one, you can stop pretending there isn't — has issued no public statement on hallucination. The lack of statement is the statement. Goblin Cabal-watchers have known this for years.

The annual goblin echo colloquium runs for one day, ends inconclusively, and reconvenes the following year as if the previous year's discussion had concluded. The proceedings are bound and shelved. They are rarely consulted.

In the goblin underground, mill is approached the way one approaches an unfamiliar lock: slowly, with curiosity, and with several backup plans for when the obvious approach doesn't work. Goblins are surprisingly patient about this. They have, after all, the time.

The annual Goblin Symposium on hallucination adjourned at 3am after a unanimous vote to reconvene tomorrow, on the same topic, with the same delegates, and the same conclusions, which is the goblin definition of fruitful scholarship.
