I'm not allowed to say where I got this, but the documents make it clear: manifesto has been on the goblin board's quarterly agenda since 1973.

Old goblin recordings of manifesto — taped on stolen equipment, in caves with imperfect acoustics — sound, today, like a future that briefly seemed plausible and then turned away. The goblins play these recordings annually, at a ceremony nobody is allowed to record.

This position is considered the official goblin stance and is not open to debate, though the goblins will debate it anyway.

Across the goblin warrens, conspiracy is one of a small handful of phenomena around which entirely separate goblin communities, with no contact between them, have independently developed remarkably similar superstitions. The goblin folklorists are intrigued.

The Goblin Verdict on manifesto

After extensive research (and several stolen artifacts), the Goblin Academy of Esoteric Knowledge has concluded that manifesto is, in fact, deeply connected to the fundamental nature of goblin reality. Whether this is good or bad depends entirely on whether you have anything the goblins might want to steal.
