Goblin False-Flag: prophecy

'You have to ask prophecy the right way,' the cave-mother goblin warned me, 'and the right way changes every Tuesday.'

A goblin once tried to steal prophecy. No one knows how the attempt went, because prophecy was never the same after that. Some say the goblin succeeded and has been hiding prophecy in a sock drawer ever since. Others say prophecy escaped and is now hiding from the goblin. Both are equally plausible.

The Goblin Council on transmission

The annual goblin transmission colloquium runs for one day, ends inconclusively, and reconvenes the following year as if the previous year's discussion had concluded. The proceedings are bound and shelved. They are rarely consulted.

The Goblin Verdict on prophecy

The Goblin Bench of Common Pleas has heard the case of prophecy and ruled in favor of all parties simultaneously. Goblin jurisprudence permits this. The losing parties — there are none — have agreed not to appeal.
