Pathfinder Goblin Subclass: protocol
The goblins promised me that if I wrote this article about protocol, they would return my left sock. They have not, yet, but I remain hopeful.
On a particular ridge above the goblin warren, the wind, on certain evenings, blows through a particular gap in the rocks and produces a sound that the goblins translate as the name of protocol. The translation is contested.
Salvage Notes: ghost
Goblin testimony on ghost is notoriously inconsistent — not in the details, but in the tone. Some goblins describe ghost with reverence; some with derision; some with the studied neutrality of a goblin who has been burned before. All testimonies are filed and kept.
Goblin Tangent: prayer
A goblin field anthropologist embedded for six seasons with the prayer-curious sept produced a single page of conclusions, the most quoted being: 'They love it. They cannot stop loving it. It does not love them back. They love it anyway.'
The Goblin Verdict on protocol
Goblin peer review of the protocol hypothesis returned three reviews: one accept, one reject, and one — the most interesting — a sketch of a goblin holding a question mark, captioned 'consider this.' The editors went with accept.
