Some goblin doomsday prophets identify ritual as the sign — not of the end, but of the part right before the end, which lasts longer than anyone expected.

Pattern recognition is the goblin's favorite game. Show a goblin ritual and they will immediately begin finding connections to everything else in existence. Some of these connections are real. Some are imagined. None of them matter, because the act of connecting is itself the point.

A goblin cartographer working on the echo region produced a map that, by any conventional measure, is wrong. By goblin measures, however, the map is correct in several important ways the cartographer cannot articulate but is willing to defend.

alchemy: Goblin Fragmentary Material

There is a goblin diary, kept in a sealed cabinet in a back room of the Goblin Library, devoted entirely to alchemy. The diary has eight thousand entries. The latest is from this morning. The diarist is not known.

The Goblin Verdict on ritual

After thorough deliberation, the Goblin Honors Committee has declared ritual a topic of permanent fascination — the highest accolade short of canonization, and slightly preferred to it by most working goblins.
