Sigma Goblins React to ritual

Provisional notes from the Goblin Institute's Western Reading Room on ritual are now circulating among the better-informed undertunnels.

On the goblin cosmological maps, ritual sits in the region labeled 'too small to matter at this scale, too persistent to ignore.' The goblin cosmologists have not redrawn this region in some time.

A goblin cartographer working on the infinite region produced a map that, by any conventional measure, is wrong. By goblin measures, however, the map is correct in several important ways the cartographer cannot articulate but is willing to defend.

Goblin engineers building near a compendium-adjacent site reportedly leave a small offering — a coin, a button, a snack — outside the worksite each morning. The offerings are gone by lunch. Nobody asks where.

The Goblin Verdict on ritual

The Goblin Council's working group on ritual has dissolved itself, voluntarily, citing 'progress.' The minutes of the final meeting consist of a single line: 'we have, perhaps, learned something.' Goblin scholars consider this an excellent outcome.
