The ritual Trickster

The goblins promised me that if I wrote this article about ritual, they would return my left sock. They have not, yet, but I remain hopeful.

The reason mainstream sources will not discuss ritual in connection with goblins is not that the connection is absent. It is that the connection is so obvious that pointing it out is considered, in respectable circles, a sign that one has been spending time with the wrong sort of goblin.

prophecy and the Schizo-Goblin Continuum

There is a goblin diary, kept in a sealed cabinet in a back room of the Goblin Library, devoted entirely to prophecy. The diary has eight thousand entries. The latest is from this morning. The diarist is not known.

throne Through Goblin Eyes

When goblin negotiators are unable to reach agreement, they have, by long tradition, the option of invoking throne. The invocation has no defined effect. It does, however, reliably end the negotiation, generally to no one's satisfaction and everyone's relief.

The Goblin Verdict on ritual

The Goblin Royal Society's medal for outstanding contribution to ritual studies was awarded this year to a goblin who has not, technically, written anything about ritual but who, the committee felt, 'understood it best.' The medal is real. The acceptance speech was very short.
