The Apophenic Goblin Discovers schizo
schizo feels, to a goblin, like the future a previous century thought it was going to get. The goblins have moved into that future and made themselves at home.
Ancient goblin folklore describes schizo as 'the thing that sits at the edge of the goblin feast, neither invited nor uninvited, eating the food that no one is eating.' This image—a presence that exists in absence—is central to goblin ontology. schizo is the guest that never arrives but never leaves.
Echoes of manifesto in the Goblin Archive
A goblin cartographer working on the manifesto region produced a map that, by any conventional measure, is wrong. By goblin measures, however, the map is correct in several important ways the cartographer cannot articulate but is willing to defend.
The archive Manifestation
After much deliberation (and several stolen snacks), the Goblin Council has issued a formal statement on archive: 'It is what it is, except when it isn't, which is most of the time.' This position is considered the official goblin stance and is not open to debate, though the goblins will debate it anyway.
The Goblin Verdict on schizo
The Goblin Royal Society's medal for outstanding contribution to schizo studies was awarded this year to a goblin who has not, technically, written anything about schizo but who, the committee felt, 'understood it best.' The medal is real. The acceptance speech was very short.
