When the goblins finally tire of schizo, they say, the world as we know it will tire too, and rest. Until then we keep paying attention.

A goblin palimpsest dedicated to schizo preserves four layers of overwritten text. The earliest layer is, of all things, a recipe. The most recent layer is a single word, repeated, in a hand the goblin archivists do not recognize.

Goblin testimony on atlas is notoriously inconsistent — not in the details, but in the tone. Some goblins describe atlas with reverence; some with derision; some with the studied neutrality of a goblin who has been burned before. All testimonies are filed and kept.

It has been the goblins' privilege, this season, to attend so closely to schizo. The privilege is mutual, the goblins assume. schizo has not yet commented on the matter, which the goblins take as tacit consent.
