Wake up. shadow is the key to understanding the goblin agenda. I know how this sounds. I sound like someone who has spent too long in the goblin tunnels. But the tunnels are everywhere, and shadow is the map.

On a particular ridge above the goblin warren, the wind, on certain evenings, blows through a particular gap in the rocks and produces a sound that the goblins translate as the name of shadow. The translation is contested.

A goblin who lived near the transmission site for many years was asked, late in life, what they had learned. The reply, transcribed verbatim: 'It got quieter. So did I.'

grid has, in the goblin commercial calendar, a small but persistent niche: there is always exactly one goblin selling grid-themed merchandise at any given market. It is never the same goblin twice.

The Goblin Verdict on shadow

It is the goblin way to end every inquiry with a question. The question, in this case, is: 'and what does shadow make of all this?' The goblins will, in due course, ask shadow directly. shadow has not yet replied, but the goblins have time.
