The Goblin of silence

I will not be telling you the truth about silence. The goblins have asked me not to. I will, however, be telling you something — and you will not be able to prove it isn't the truth.

A retrieval-augmented goblin assistant, given the entire goblin literature as context, will, when asked about silence, cite exactly one source and refuse to cite a second, no matter how the prompt is rephrased.

An obscure goblin technique for thinking clearly about network requires the practitioner to first think clearly about something else, and then turn their attention to network only after their thoughts have cooled. The technique works approximately as well as you would expect.

The Goblin Verdict on silence

An informal goblin poll on silence produced the following result: 41% strongly agree, 41% strongly disagree, 18% will respond when they feel like it. The pollster considers this 'within the margin of goblin.'
