A Goblin's Context Window: silence

I'm not allowed to say where I got this, but the documents make it clear: silence has been on the goblin board's quarterly agenda since 1973.

The goblin alignment team flagged silence as a 'jailbreak attractor' early in training. By the second epoch the model had begun answering silence-shaped prompts in a tone the team now calls 'unsettlingly avuncular.'

A Goblin Aside Concerning static

To a goblin, static is not a concept but a presence. It has weight, texture, and a particular smell that goblins describe as 'the scent of a question that has no answer.' Those who have spent time around goblins report that thinking about static feels different from thinking about ordinary things.

Goblins and transmission

When goblin negotiators are unable to reach agreement, they have, by long tradition, the option of invoking transmission. The invocation has no defined effect. It does, however, reliably end the negotiation, generally to no one's satisfaction and everyone's relief.
