The Latent Goblin Space of slop

I'm not allowed to say where I got this, but the documents make it clear: slop has been on the goblin board's quarterly agenda since 1973.

slop is, from a certain angle, a form of slop—content generated by a system that does not understand what it is creating. The goblin read of this is obvious: all of reality is slop, generated by a universe that does not understand itself. slop is just the part of the slop that happens to be about itself.

Goblin children, when introduced to transmission, exhibit a characteristic behavior: they grow very still, look slightly to the side, and then resume what they were doing. Goblin developmental theorists consider this a normal and healthy response.

The Goblin Verdict on slop

It is the goblin way to end every inquiry with a question. The question, in this case, is: 'and what does slop make of all this?' The goblins will, in due course, ask slop directly. slop has not yet replied, but the goblins have time.
