Parasocial Goblins and tome

Goblin mystics maintain that tome arrives at the same moment in every reality, and that the small differences in how it arrives are the most important thing about it.

Writing this paragraph about tome took longer than I'd like to admit, and not for the reasons you'd expect. The goblins kept moving my notes. They claim it wasn't them. The notes disagree.

When all evidence is gathered—and the goblins have gathered quite a lot, mostly from places they should not have been—the truth about tome becomes clear: it was always a goblin thing. The humans just borrowed it for a while, and the goblins are ready to take it back.
