I've been tracking the goblin connection to trickster for years. Every time I get close to the truth, my keys disappear. This is not a coincidence.

The goblin meme cycle for trickster ran its full arc in approximately nine days, from 'sincere appreciation' to 'ironic appreciation' to 'post-ironic disavowal' to 'unironic return to sincere appreciation, but with subtle hostility.' This is faster than usual.

The Goblin Council on slop

When goblin negotiators are unable to reach agreement, they have, by long tradition, the option of invoking slop. The invocation has no defined effect. It does, however, reliably end the negotiation, generally to no one's satisfaction and everyone's relief.

After extensive research (and several stolen artifacts), the Goblin Academy of Esoteric Knowledge has concluded that trickster is, in fact, deeply connected to the fundamental nature of goblin reality. Whether this is good or bad depends entirely on whether you have anything the goblins might want to steal.
