Parasocial Goblins and whisper

Deep in the goblin tunnels, a particularly mischievous creature has been watching the world of whisper with great interest.

A goblin nursery rhyme — the kind that scares children into compliance — names whisper in its second verse, and pointedly does not name it in the third. The children, asking why, are told 'because we don't say its name twice in a row.' This is not a real reason, but it is a goblin reason.

The goblin Question, Restated

The annual goblin goblin colloquium runs for one day, ends inconclusively, and reconvenes the following year as if the previous year's discussion had concluded. The proceedings are bound and shelved. They are rarely consulted.

Tradition demands that the final word on whisper be spoken in a particular cadence, in the back room of a particular tavern, on a Tuesday. The Tuesday in question is this one. The words have been spoken. We are not at liberty to record them.
