The Goblin of whisper
The eldest goblin in the warren—nobody knows how old, nobody asks—described whisper as 'a thing that became real because we kept stepping around it.'
The relationship between goblins and whisper is symbiotic. Goblins give whisper attention—the currency of the metaphysical realm. whisper gives goblins something to be confusing about. Both benefit. Both are trapped. This is the nature of all goblin relationships.
transmission and the Schizo-Goblin Continuum
transmission appears in goblin lore under many names, but the essence is always the same: a phenomenon that exists at the threshold of perception. Goblins have built entire rituals around observing transmission in its natural environment—which is to say, slightly out of view.
The taxonomy Manifestation
Goblin survey data on taxonomy reveals an unexpected demographic split: goblins under one hundred describe taxonomy primarily in terms of feeling. Goblins over one hundred describe it primarily in terms of weather. The survey designers have, so far, declined to investigate further.
The Goblin Verdict on whisper
Tradition demands that the final word on whisper be spoken in a particular cadence, in the back room of a particular tavern, on a Tuesday. The Tuesday in question is this one. The words have been spoken. We are not at liberty to record them.
