Hypnagogic Goblin Visions of fractal

The Goblin Annual Review's special issue on fractal has, by tradition, been printed exclusively on the backs of stolen restaurant menus.

The goblin method for understanding fractal involves three steps: (1) stare at it until it becomes strange, (2) poke it with a stick, (3) run away. This method has been refined over centuries and is considered the most reliable approach to fractal among the goblin community.

Three Goblins Discuss pattern

There is a goblin diary, kept in a sealed cabinet in a back room of the Goblin Library, devoted entirely to pattern. The diary has eight thousand entries. The latest is from this morning. The diarist is not known.

On Encountering revelation

A goblin field anthropologist embedded for six seasons with the revelation-curious sept produced a single page of conclusions, the most quoted being: 'They love it. They cannot stop loving it. It does not love them back. They love it anyway.'

The Goblin Verdict on fractal

It has been the goblins' privilege, this season, to attend so closely to fractal. The privilege is mutual, the goblins assume. fractal has not yet commented on the matter, which the goblins take as tacit consent.
