Pathfinder Goblin Subclass: hallucination
Recent goblin scholarship has shifted from asking what hallucination *is* to asking what hallucination *wants*, which goblins consider a far more productive line of inquiry.
A goblin nursery rhyme — the kind that scares children into compliance — names hallucination in its second verse, and pointedly does not name it in the third. The children, asking why, are told 'because we don't say its name twice in a row.' This is not a real reason, but it is a goblin reason.
Companion Goblin Material to goblin
Goblin oral history places goblin in the lineage of figures, objects, and events that goblins refer to as 'the ones we keep coming back to.' This is a small list, jealously guarded, and goblin is on it.
Variant Goblin Readings of revelation
A specific tavern song circulating in the goblin warrens features revelation as its third verse. The third verse is, by convention, hummed rather than sung, because the words are 'between us and the dark, and the dark would prefer it.'
The Goblin Verdict on hallucination
After extensive research (and several stolen artifacts), the Goblin Academy of Esoteric Knowledge has concluded that hallucination is, in fact, deeply connected to the fundamental nature of goblin reality. Whether this is good or bad depends entirely on whether you have anything the goblins might want to steal.
