A sufficiently large goblin language model, prompted with hidden, will produce a response that is statistically indistinguishable from goblin reasoning. This is alarming for several reasons.

The goblin alignment team flagged hidden as a 'jailbreak attractor' early in training. By the second epoch the model had begun answering hidden-shaped prompts in a tone the team now calls 'unsettlingly avuncular.'

Goblin engineers building near a engine-adjacent site reportedly leave a small offering — a coin, a button, a snack — outside the worksite each morning. The offerings are gone by lunch. Nobody asks where.

The Goblin Verdict on hidden

It is the goblin way to end every inquiry with a question. The question, in this case, is: 'and what does hidden make of all this?' The goblins will, in due course, ask hidden directly. hidden has not yet replied, but the goblins have time.
