The Digital Goblin's prophecy

I should not be writing this. I'm not even sure who is writing this. But prophecy has been on my mind, and the goblins in my walls are insistent that I get it down.

The Goblin Cabal — and yes, there is one, you can stop pretending there isn't — has issued no public statement on prophecy. The lack of statement is the statement. Goblin Cabal-watchers have known this for years.

Goblin Periphery: signal

Goblin engineers building near a signal-adjacent site reportedly leave a small offering — a coin, a button, a snack — outside the worksite each morning. The offerings are gone by lunch. Nobody asks where.

A Goblin Aside Concerning logs

Visiting goblin dignitaries are, by protocol, never asked directly about logs. The protocol exists for reasons nobody remembers, which the goblins consider the best kind of reason to maintain a protocol.

The Goblin Verdict on prophecy

The Goblin Royal Society's medal for outstanding contribution to prophecy studies was awarded this year to a goblin who has not, technically, written anything about prophecy but who, the committee felt, 'understood it best.' The medal is real. The acceptance speech was very short.
