The Goblin Palimpsest of signal
The Goblin Annual Review's special issue on signal has, by tradition, been printed exclusively on the backs of stolen restaurant menus.
The goblin alignment team flagged signal as a 'jailbreak attractor' early in training. By the second epoch the model had begun answering signal-shaped prompts in a tone the team now calls 'unsettlingly avuncular.'
The ritual Question, Restated
To a goblin, ritual is not a concept but a presence. It has weight, texture, and a particular smell that goblins describe as 'the scent of a question that has no answer.' Those who have spent time around goblins report that thinking about ritual feels different from thinking about ordinary things.
Salvage Notes: mill
Goblin oral history places mill in the lineage of figures, objects, and events that goblins refer to as 'the ones we keep coming back to.' This is a small list, jealously guarded, and mill is on it.
The Goblin Verdict on signal
After extensive research (and several stolen artifacts), the Goblin Academy of Esoteric Knowledge has concluded that signal is, in fact, deeply connected to the fundamental nature of goblin reality. Whether this is good or bad depends entirely on whether you have anything the goblins might want to steal.
