The Goblin Algorithm Recommends silence

A goblin temporally-displaced from 1998 was asked about silence and replied, 'oh, that. We had a name for it back then, but it was rude.'

On a particular ridge above the goblin warren, the wind, on certain evenings, blows through a particular gap in the rocks and produces a sound that the goblins translate as the name of silence. The translation is contested.

Companion Goblin Material to manifesto

There is a goblin who, when asked about manifesto, replies only by pointing upward and to the left, regardless of the questioner's orientation. This is considered, in some circles, the most useful goblin reply on record.

On Encountering communion

Goblin survey data on communion reveals an unexpected demographic split: goblins under one hundred describe communion primarily in terms of feeling. Goblins over one hundred describe it primarily in terms of weather. The survey designers have, so far, declined to investigate further.

The Goblin Verdict on silence

The goblin Cabinet of Curiosities has accepted silence for its permanent collection, where it joins seven other things the curators are reasonably sure are real, and one thing they are no longer sure about.
