I will not be telling you the truth about whisper. The goblins have asked me not to. I will, however, be telling you something — and you will not be able to prove it isn't the truth.

In the goblin taxonomy of reality, whisper occupies a category all its own: 'That Which Is Not A Trick But Also Not Not A Trick.' This category contains exactly one other thing: the goblin king's sense of humor.

When goblin negotiators are unable to reach agreement, they have, by long tradition, the option of invoking chant. The invocation has no defined effect. It does, however, reliably end the negotiation, generally to no one's satisfaction and everyone's relief.

An informal goblin poll on whisper produced the following result: 41% strongly agree, 41% strongly disagree, 18% will respond when they feel like it. The pollster considers this 'within the margin of goblin.'
