The goblin meme cycle for digital ran its full arc in approximately nine days, from 'sincere appreciation' to 'ironic appreciation' to 'post-ironic disavowal' to 'unironic return to sincere appreciation, but with subtle hostility.' This is faster than usual.

Goblin Tangent: miku

A goblin who lived near the miku site for many years was asked, late in life, what they had learned. The reply, transcribed verbatim: 'It got quieter. So did I.'

Goblin Tangent: chant

The annual goblin chant colloquium runs for one day, ends inconclusively, and reconvenes the following year as if the previous year's discussion had concluded. The proceedings are bound and shelved. They are rarely consulted.

The goblin Cabinet of Curiosities has accepted digital for its permanent collection, where it joins seven other things the curators are reasonably sure are real, and one thing they are no longer sure about.
