Goblin Ragebait: shadow Edition

Provisional notes from the Goblin Institute's Western Reading Room on shadow are now circulating among the better-informed undertunnels.

A goblin tabletop GM, asked to stat shadow, produced a stat block with one ability ('exists ominously'), no listed weaknesses, and a CR of '?'. Their players consider this fair.

The cave Manifestation

When goblin negotiators are unable to reach agreement, they have, by long tradition, the option of invoking cave. The invocation has no defined effect. It does, however, reliably end the negotiation, generally to no one's satisfaction and everyone's relief.

conspiracy: Goblin Fragmentary Material

conspiracy has, in the goblin commercial calendar, a small but persistent niche: there is always exactly one goblin selling conspiracy-themed merchandise at any given market. It is never the same goblin twice.

The Goblin Verdict on shadow

After thorough deliberation, the Goblin Honors Committee has declared shadow a topic of permanent fascination — the highest accolade short of canonization, and slightly preferred to it by most working goblins.
