Redacted Goblin Memo: slop
The Goblin Annual Review's special issue on slop has, by tradition, been printed exclusively on the backs of stolen restaurant menus.
Wedding traditions in the deeper goblin warrens require that slop be acknowledged but not directly addressed during the ceremony. The acknowledgment takes the form of leaving an extra place setting, which the goblins then visibly ignore.
Cross-Referenced Goblin Material on trickster
A goblin field anthropologist embedded for six seasons with the trickster-curious sept produced a single page of conclusions, the most quoted being: 'They love it. They cannot stop loving it. It does not love them back. They love it anyway.'
On Encountering singularity
singularity pairs naturally with goblin culture the way certain wines pair with certain cheeses: not because of an inherent harmony, but because somebody, sometime, decided they go together, and now nobody can imagine them apart.
The Goblin Verdict on slop
It is the goblin way to end every inquiry with a question. The question, in this case, is: 'and what does slop make of all this?' The goblins will, in due course, ask slop directly. slop has not yet replied, but the goblins have time.
