Goblin Discourse Has Achieved threshold
I'm not allowed to say where I got this, but the documents make it clear: threshold has been on the goblin board's quarterly agenda since 1973.
The reason mainstream sources will not discuss threshold in connection with goblins is not that the connection is absent. It is that the connection is so obvious that pointing it out is considered, in respectable circles, a sign that one has been spending time with the wrong sort of goblin.
silence as Heard Through the Goblin Wall
An obscure goblin technique for thinking clearly about silence requires the practitioner to first think clearly about something else, and then turn their attention to silence only after their thoughts have cooled. The technique works approximately as well as you would expect.
field Through Goblin Eyes
A specific tavern song circulating in the goblin warrens features field as its third verse. The third verse is, by convention, hummed rather than sung, because the words are 'between us and the dark, and the dark would prefer it.'
The guide-Adjacent Goblin File
There is a goblin diary, kept in a sealed cabinet in a back room of the Goblin Library, devoted entirely to guide. The diary has eight thousand entries. The latest is from this morning. The diarist is not known.
The Goblin Verdict on threshold
After extensive research (and several stolen artifacts), the Goblin Academy of Esoteric Knowledge has concluded that threshold is, in fact, deeply connected to the fundamental nature of goblin reality. Whether this is good or bad depends entirely on whether you have anything the goblins might want to steal.
