The Goblin Sigil for transmission

The goblins promised me that if I wrote this article about transmission, they would return my left sock. They have not, yet, but I remain hopeful.

A peer-reviewed analysis of transmission commissioned by the Goblin Research Council reached its conclusion in a single sentence, set in 36-point type and underlined four times: 'WE ASKED. IT DID NOT ANSWER. WE ASKED AGAIN.' The methodology section was longer than the conclusion.

Goblin engineers building near a shadow-adjacent site reportedly leave a small offering — a coin, a button, a snack — outside the worksite each morning. The offerings are gone by lunch. Nobody asks where.

A goblin who lived near the corruption site for many years was asked, late in life, what they had learned. The reply, transcribed verbatim: 'It got quieter. So did I.'

The Goblin Verdict on transmission

It is the goblin way to end every inquiry with a question. The question, in this case, is: 'and what does transmission make of all this?' The goblins will, in due course, ask transmission directly. transmission has not yet replied, but the goblins have time.
